Trading Spaces

One of the many things on the "to-do list" before the baby gets here was to sell our old couch and chair and move our new couch into the living room. It has been in the master bedroom that was set up as a second living room. So, yesterday we got the couch and chair sold, so today we went to Target and bought an area rug, a door mat and curtains. We bought a lamp with money we were given for Christmas.

We moved the new couch into the living room. It is all coming together very nicely! Looks like a real house!!!

Wrigley is quite confused by this whole thing. She be even more confused when we move bedrooms. I think this week Adam will probably get all of the electronics moved into the living room. Then we can move our bed room and start getting the baby's room ready!

The picture above is what the living room looks like now. It's not quite finished, but it's looking good!

I'm still feeling good... baby's been pretty active the last few days, moving around. We're just getting anxious for Feb 18th and the ultrasound!

18 Weeks

This week has been pretty fun- I started to feel the baby kick- I can now feel the baby daily- nothing too much, just a kick here or there.

I'm not used to sleeping on my side, so that's been an adjustment and I'm not doing too well with it. I wake up frequently to flip over to the other side. My hips have been killing me!

I'm still feeling great.. no more morning sickness! I'm also getting my energy back too.

We're starting to get the house ready to rearrange. For those that don't know the plan, we right now have two living rooms (a living room and family room)- so Adam is moving the back family room into the living room, and that back room will become our bedroom. The room that we have right now as our bedroom will be the baby's room. The guest room is staying the same.

Painting of the baby's room is set for the last weekend in Feb!! We're waiting on the ultrasound to determine the theme :)

The above pictures are of me at 18 weeks!

Traveling

I had to go on a business trip Thursday/Friday to Great Falls, MT. I was very nervous as to how I'd do on the plane, since up to that point I was getting sick just sitting down.

I had my dr.'s appointment on Wednesday and everything is looking good. Baby's heartbeat was 160. I asked the dr. if I could take anything to help with the sickness on the plane. She said that I could take Bonine.

I did great on both flights. No problems the entire time. The trip went very well, and I'm glad that it was a short trip this time.

I am feeling much better! I think I have finally gotten over the hump! I still get queezy when my stomach starts to get empty, so I just have to make sure I've got a full stomach. I am eating Adam and I out of house and home!!!

I think I felt the baby on the plane, but I really haven't felt anything since- so we're still waiting for that to happen. Should be any day now!

I'll take another picture next week when I'll be 18 weeks. :) People are starting to notice now- my boss was amazed to see me showing (I've kind of been hiding it at work- long story)- so on the trip when I wore one of my dress shirts that was a little more form fitting, my coworkers were impressed (they all know... it's the upper management guys that don't know because they tend to think that women should either have a family or a career- not both).

Adam and I have picked out nursery themes- we're just waiting for Feb 18th to find out which paint to buy!!

Oh- Someone asked me what I've been craving or if I've been craving anything-- I go though fruit snacks and pudding like a mad woman!! I also love anything having to do with potatoes.

This week my goal is to find a pair of black and a pair of brown maternity dress pants. I finally am at the point where it just is not working with my regular pants. Shirts I'm ok with because most of the tops I own are baby-doll tops anyways, so I don't have to do maternity shirts yet. I'm sure that will come soon!

16 weeks

So, here we are at 16 weeks. This picture was taken today, January 13th.

I go in tomorrow for a check-up. Make sure the baby is doing fine. Everything seems to be going fine. I am still feeling better than I have been! I have to travel for work on Thursday/Friday so we'll see how that goes, I have yet to fly during the pregnancy.. hopefully I do ok, I tend to get queezy sitting down, so not sure how i'll do in a 17 seater plane.

Wrigley wanted to be on the blog too... she doesn't want the baby getting all the attention :)

The Pregnancy!

Ok, so Adam and I talked about using this blog to update our families on how the pregnancy has been going and to put up pictures, etc. I am sorry it has taken me so long to do this. I am finally awake long enough now to actually sit down and do this!!

The pregnancy is going well. The first trimester was a bit rocky, morning (mid-morning, noon, late afternoon, evening and night) sickness was in full swing. I was extremely tired as well. Now, that we are into the second trimester (I'm 16 weeks right now) I am finally seeing some light at the end of the tunnel. I have felt great the last few days- sleeping a lot, but feeling much better!

We heard the heartbeat on December 17th- that was very exciting. I have another checkup this week Wednesday and February 18th is the ultrasound which I promise to post on here, and we promise to call people after the appointment to let everyone know if the baby is a boy or a girl. Anybody have any guesses right now???

This picture is of me on my last day of my first trimester. I will post a picture of me in my second trimester this week. I am showing now!

I promise to try and keep this update for everyone. I see I can add video as well... I might do that in the future.
