Baptism, Teeth, and Pools

Charlie has been a busy little guy the last few weeks. He had his baptism on January 24th. He was such a ham-- he did such a good job during the whole thing!

Then on that following Wednesday I noticed he has two of his front bottom teeth that were starting to pop through- they have broken through and are almost fully up now!!!

He's still doing really well sitting - he's starting to pull himself up into a sitting position-- not quite able to yet, but he tries. He's also still trying to crawl-- he rolls or scoots with his feet pushed against the floor while on his back if he needs to get anywhere-- he'll get up on his knees, but then just roll over.

Eating is going very well.. so far he seems to like everything-- he doesn't really like the rice cereal, but if you mix the fruit or veggies in with it, he's fine. but he hasn't spit anything out yet or really shown a strong dislike for anything in particular.

I took Charlie swimming today for the first time at the municipal pool. He loved it. Never cried, even when I dunked him! I think we have a little fish on our hands!

Here are some photos of the past few weeks.

Charlie's First Christmas and then some..

Charlie had a great Christmas.. thanks to everyone for the toys, clothes, etc. He's a very loved little boy! :)

Adam and I had a great holiday too. It was nice to spend time with Adam's family and also spend time together. With our schedules we don't get a lot of time together, but over the past two weeks we have! it's been nice.

Ok, so back to Charlie. He had his 6 month appointment last monday. He is 21 lbs 12 oz and 27 in long. Still over the 100%. He had 5 shots poor little guy. He was a trouper though!

He is doing really well eating. So far his two favorite things are applesauce and carrots! Funny little guy.

He is laughing a lot and is becoming quite the little ham. Still no teeth, and he is still rolling instead of crawling..

He is sleeping through the night again!! We went through a rough patch there for awhile, but now we're back on schedule!

Enjoy the pictures.. :)

6 Months

Happy Holidays!! :)

Charlie is 6 months old now!!! I can't believe how quickly that went!!! :) Here are a few photos.

He is still kind of scooting.. he can't get very far- he moves his knees up and puts his head down and then gets stuck. He rolls to where he wants to go. I've seen him roll across the livingroom a few times :)

He can also sit up and play with toys now (see photo).

He is a very happy little boy. He loves to laugh!

We started him on solid foods.. He gets rice cereal or oatmeal and he's had sweet potatoes and peas.

I'll take some pictures during his first christmas and post them!! :)

1st Thanksgiving

Yesterday was Charlie's First Thanksgiving.
I got him dressed in the morning and he chilled out on the couch as I started making dinner.

Adrienne and Kenny came up from Denver for the day.

Today We put up the tree and Christmas Decorations. Charlie really liked the lights on the tree.

Charlie is starting to scoot! I'll have to get video of it and post it on here.

Tomorrow we're taking Charlie to see Santa. I'll post photos!

Update-- Finally!

Ok, so I haven't been the best at updating this! I've gotten busy the last month.

so, let's see... what's going on in the world of Charles Thomas....

4 month check up he was 18 lbs 1.5 oz and 26 inches. He is now in the 100 percentile for head, height and weight. The Dr. was happy at how well he was doing. :) He is where he should be developmentally as well. :)

Halloween was fun, We dressed Charlie up as a puppy. One of the pictures is of charlie and Wrigley at Halloween.

Charlie giggles now. It's pretty cute. Adam is really good at getting him to smile. They are so funny together. Adam does a great job with him. Monday mornings they go to the library and participate in the baby lap-sit program. Then they usually pick out a book to take home to read. Charlie seems to like being read to-

Charlie is kind of starting to scoot now when he is on his belly. He can get his knees up and scoot, but then his arms get underneath him and he can't move.. he's getting there!

He is also starting to kind of hold his bottle. he can't hold it very long, but at least the concept is there!

He plays in the exersaucer now... and all of his toys go into his mouth!!! He grabs and follows toys too.

No teeth yet, but I'm guessing that will start soon!

Wrigley and Charlie are becoming best buds. Wrigley is such a protector and is always close by. She tolerates him really well too.

I can't believe my little man will already be 5 months on tuesday!!! Where has the time gone?!

it's the little things

We had a pretty good weekend despite getting a foot of snow the 2nd weekend in October!

Charlie is not a real fan of the cold and snow.. I don't blame him. We stayed inside most of the weekend. Only going out when we really had to!

here are some photos. Charlie can hold his head up pretty well now and he can now use the excersaucer... it's the little things!

Winter Wonderland

It's been snowing on and off the last two days... with it really picking up today and it's suppose to be pretty bad out tomorrow!

I bundled Charlie up and took him out into the backyard for his first snow experience. It lasted all of about 3 min. I don't think he liked all the layers!

I had him make a Snow Angel and got a picture with him. Some day he'll like the snow!

here are some pictures!

Sports Fan

Whether he wants to be or not, Charlie is turning into a little sports fan. Last week he went to his 3rd Rockies Game! Aunt Adrienne got tickets through work, so a group of us went down to cheer on the Rockies. They played the Brewers, which was fun for me to watch.

On Saturday we watched the Badgers beat the Gophers! The one picture is from that morning.
The other picture is Charlie all tucked into the futon after his bottle. It was really cold out and the house hadn't warmed up yet, so I tucked him in as I sat and worked at the computer. Wrigley is always close by, it's pretty cute!

Adam's been sick all weekend, so I've been playing single parent so Charlie doesn't catch with Adam has. Adam's feeling better now, and I know can't wait to hold and play with Charlie this week. I think they both miss each other.

Not too much going on this week... We're suppose to get a good snow this week... we'll see if that happens.. right now it's just really cold and rainy. I think fall skipped us and we're going right into winter :(

3 months and counting

Charlie and I took a trip back to the Midwest this past weekend. Adam was working (like usual on the weekends :( ) and Friday was my b-day, so I decided that Charlie and I would go to Madison and Milwaukee and meet that side of the family.

I was going to fly into Madison, but looked at the flights Thursday morning and realized that I wasn't going to get a seat. So my boss and I figured out that if I went from Denver to Kansas City and then Kansas City to Milwaukee I'd have no problems getting a seat. So off to the airport we went. Denver was fine.... but 30 min late... Kansas City is one of those airports that you have to go outside and onto a bus to get to another terminal. Well, long story short, we barely made the connecting flight.. they had to hold the plane for us!! but, we made it.

We had a great time in WI. Charlie was quite the popular little guy.

He's very alert now. He smiles and coos all the time. We're still working on the head, he can't quite hold it up yet.. but he's getting close!!!

Here are a few pictures from this past week

3 months old

r
So Charlie turned 3 months on Thursday!
He is cooing up a storm, and smiling all the time.

I'm trying to figure out how to do tummy time with him, he just wants to roll onto his back....

Charlie and I are going back to WI at the end of the week, should be interesting traveling with him by myself.. it was really nice last time having adam with us.

Here are a few pictures from this past week. We tried the Johnny-Jump-Up... he's not quite ready for it, but kind of liked it....

Irish Baby

Wow, ok, I need to be better about posting on here. I just feel like I'm super busy lately... I barely spend time online.

charlie is at that fun stage that when he is awake, we just play. He laughs, and coos and smiles. And yes, still rolling over when he's on his stomach.

His neck is getting stronger, not quite there yet.

Last week we went to the zoo, charlie loved it so much he slept the entire time :)

Grandma Marcia came out for a few days too last week. It was nice to see her.

Here's a picture of Charlie from last week.. he's getting so big!

Little Man

Let's see... last time I posted was two weeks ago.. so, here's a run down of what's been going on in Charlie-Land.

1. Two month check-up. He's 14 lbs 2 oz 23 in long. He's in the 75% for height, 98% for weight and 97% for his head. He got his shots at the appointment as well. He did really well.. screamed bloody murder, but he still handled it like a pro. You'd cry too if you got three shots in your legs.

2. First plane ride/trip-- The trip back to the midwest went very well. He did great on the plane both ways-- although I think he enjoyed the trip there the best, since my boss was on the plane with us, and she's a massage therapist- so she gave charlie a massage the whole way there... talk about being spoiled!!!

3. First boat ride-- we went to the cabin one of the days we were back and Grandpa Tom took Charlie out on the boat!! He slept through the whole ride!!

4. First Wedding-- Congrats Crystal and Kyle.. The wedding was really nice. Charlie had a few melt-downs, but overall did really well, especially considering all the passing around that was taking place.

and last but not least....

5. Rolling Over-- Charlie can now roll from his tummy to his back :) He started doing this on Wednesday, the 26th!

Here is a family picture of us!
